About

My name is Sacha Zilkha and I am a licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy through online video sessions.

I provide an integrated approach to psychotherapy that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with psychodynamic psychotherapy. Specifically, I work with individuals to identify how early childhood experiences have shaped who they are today while making changes to current patterns of thinking and behavior. I specialize in the areas of anxiety, parenting, life transitions and personal growth.

I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York and received training and supervision at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. This training included a visiting fellowship at the Aaron T. Beck Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy and Practice where I received direct supervision from Dr. Aaron T. Beck and his colleagues. My treatment approach is built upon my doctoral and post-doctoral training and combines psychodynamic therapy with CBT techniques.

Prior to obtaining my PhD, I spent 7 years leading large scale clinical implementation projects to improve mental health services across NYC for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. This experience provided me the opportunity to develop a keen understanding of the mental health system. In this position, I researched and identified best practices in mental health care that I put into practice throughout mental health programs in NYC by providing clinical and implementation support.
